Recipes and eating internationally.

Welcome to Cut the Fromage! (Yes, it’s a fart joke.) My name is Louise and I’m an international school teacher from the USA, currently living in Morocco. Cooking and eating vegetarian food is a major passion of mine no matter where I am, so I created Cut the Fromage to share my favorite recipes as well as my experiences eating around the world.

My goal with my “Recipes” section is to share both quick and easy vegetarian weeknight meals as well as more involved “weekend” cooking. I’m a creative person, so I love trying new things in the kitchen and inventing new dishes using internationally-inspired ingredients. However, I’m also a full-time teacher and sometimes I am exhausted after my long day of getting low-key roasted by teenagers (thanks John Oliver, I feel seen) and just want to throw something together quickly.

In the “Blog” section of my site I basically put everything that isn’t recipes: my musings on food, travel, vegetarian cuisine, restaurants, and whatever else food-related I’ve been thinking about lately.

I hope you can get some eating inspiration from my recipes and blog posts!
